Closer to home: Reading in Berne

By FAM :: 19 April 2004

On Thursday, 22 April Franz will do a reading sponsored by the Swiss-British Society Berne at the Laenggass-Traeff, Lerchenweg 35 in Berne, a bistro also known as "Ali Baba".

The reading will start at 18.30 and admission is free, but Franz (who will donate his fee) would like to collect donations for Cecily's Fund.

Cecily's Fund is a small, private charity in memory of Cecily Eastwood, who went out to work with AIDS orphans in Zambia and died tragically in a road accident at the age of 19. For more information on the fund please check out their website. Cecily's Fund finances education for AIDS orphans, which is the best ways of ensuring a better future for the children and hopefully will contribute to stopping this dreadful epidemic.
