Gallivanting; Reading at St. Mary's College in Twickenham

By FAM :: 15 April 2004

The FAM roadshow is pulling up at the NAWE conference at St. Mary's College (Waldegrave Drawing Room) in Twickenham, Surrey on
Friday 30 April at 18.30

There will be a joint reading at the opening of this conference called "Writers and Location" with Norman Schwenk, Mick Leigh and yours truly.

For more information check out the NAWE website on the event. To get to St. Mary's College, there is a comprehensive guide covering most means of transport here.

Norman Schwenk, apart from being a really lovely man, is former Creative Writing Head Wallah at Cardiff, originally hails from Nebraska and is the author, among many other tomes, of one of the most impressive collection of limericks that help ignoramuses (or ignorami?) to pronounce the most esoteric Welsh place names.

Mick Leigh's reading is called "An Australian Dreamtime". He is (unsurprisingly) from Australia, has published loads of stuff (check out his website)and comes highly recommeded from people in the know like Paul Munden (British Council conference poet) and Robyn Bolam

FAM's contribution will be called "home matches and away games" and will be a mix of poems about the comforts of home/family and being a puzzled traveller.
